Graham Jarvis MA, MCIJ, M IDM, ACIM – Managing Consultant
As
the founder of Media-Insert Communications, Graham is an experienced
editor, journalist, P.R. and media relations consultant. He is also the
Lead Journalist for Business and Technology of public relations agency
Trudy Darwin Consulting (TDC). As a key member of the TDC, Graham has
helped clients such as Bridgeworks to gain industry recognition through
awards, and by writing and placing articles in top business and
technology publications - using his media knowledge, as well as his
skills and experience as an editor and as a journalist.
Graham leads the
Media-Insert P.R. team too, offering his editing, journalism,
copywriting, P.R. and media relations experience, skills and knowledge
to the private clients of Media-Insert Communications - of which
Media-Insert P.R. is a division. With a journalism approach to P.R.,
organisatoins can maximise their media coverage - providing content
that engages with clients' audiences.
Since 1999 he has
held several professional editorships - including for The Marketing
Leaders; the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Technology group’s
e-magazine, CIMTech International; MforMobile; The Where Business, a
portal on cloud technology for a major intenerational IT corporation,
and as a guest editor of onine customer relationship management (CRM)
magazine BT Insightexec.com (which is now known as mycustomer.com). He
is also the Lead Journalist - Business and Technology - of Trudy Darwin
Consulting.
He began his
journalism career began while studying for his MA in Online Journalism
at The Nottingham Trent University in 1999, writing for The Nottingham
Evening Post and City Lights magazine. Since the year 2000, Graham has
specialised in information technology (IT), financial services,
connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs), the Internet of Things, and
marketing. However, he has also covered topics such as education,
travel and tourism, mobile telecommunications, unified communications,
education, human resources, remote working, human capital management,
legal marketing, and IT certification.
His articles have
been published online and in print in the UK and overseas. He is a
published author, having written a chapter for the Institute of Direct
Marketing’s IDM Marketing Guide on Customer Relationship Management
tools.
Graham has also
worked as a visiting lecturer at Kingston University, as well as at
some private colleges - teaching undergraduates subjects such as
journalism, marketing, change management, and business tourism. He has
volunteered as a school governor too.
His qualifications include an MA in Online Journalism from The
Nottingham Trent University; BA Hons Business Enterprise, University of
Wolverhampton (where he specialised in marketing); and a Higher
National Diploma (HND) in Business and Finance, awarded by Bournemouth
University. He is also a member of the Institute of Direct Marketing,
Chartered Institute of Marketing, Chartered Institute of Journalists
and the Society of Authors.
Professor Bryan Foss, MBA, F IOD, F BCS FCIM, CDipAF -
Independent Non-Executive Director
Professor Bryan Foss, Independent Non-Executive Director
Bryan has been an independent non-executive
director (NED) and board level advisor and helper for five years,
having worked most of his 30 year career with IBM Corporation and
previously with Nestlé. He is also a Visiting Professor with Bristol
Business School, focused on Executive Development and Business to
Business Marketing.
Bryan’s current roles include an NED and Audit
Chair role with the Government Office South East, having previously
been an NED, Audit Committee Member, Chair of Standards and Change
Board Advisor with the Department for Work and Pensions. He also
provides independent board advisory and interim management support to a
number of international commercial enterprises and SME’s. Bryan
left IBM mid 2005 after a successful career culminating in a global
banking industry board role, previously rising through technical
management, product management, sales, marketing and business
development roles in emerging and mature markets across Asia, Europe
and the Americas.
He is extensively qualified in executive (Fellow
IoD, Diploma & Certificate in Company Direction), management (MBA),
technology (Fellow of the British Computer Society), complex and high
risk change programmes (Chartered Engineer), marketing (Fellow CIM) and
finance (CDipAF).
Bryan is also a B2B Advisory Council Member of The Institute of Direct
Marketing (IDM), Freeman of the City of London and member of the
Marketors City Think Tank and has co-authored or contributed to
numerous business & systems books,which are available in a number
of international languages.
